Teaching Adventure

Children’s Online Creativity

The first four days of learning and teaching online over here in Cambodia right now has been a challenging yet a productive one. Take a look at some of the children’s output of their hard work, creativity and collaboration with one another though they were behind screens.

After checking their online tasks, I told my self, “These children never fail to impress me”, and I always let them know that. Do you want to know what they normally respond to me? Ahh, of course something beautiful like, “ thank you teacher for always helping us”, “thank you teacher for making us understand it better”, “thank you teacher because you give us fun learning activities always”… and many more! I do super adore this batch and everyone of them.

It has almost been a year that we have been switching from online to onsite learning platforms, and I am confident to say that the children’s computer skills and their ability to adapt to changes have shown stellar progress. Nine to ten year old children coming up with this kind of slideshow output? Excellent job isn’t it?

I know it is not easy for all of us to deliver and execute effective teaching and learning via online platforms; however, with strong dedication from all sectors (school, teachers, parents and students them selves), this turmoil can also lead to something beautiful. I don’t dwell my self in illusion but one thing I chose to believe is that; people who exhibit dedication, persistence, and love to their crafts are the ones who are capable to feel and reflect total happiness in this journey.

Happy weekend everyone. Stay home and stay safe!
