Here is the list of reliable shops, markets, apps, and people to contact for your groceries during lockdown.
A little information:
Cambodia was put into a lockdown as a step to fight against covid19 for three weeks now. During the lockdown period, everyone is prohibited from leaving home if not necessary except for valid and approved errands.
For this blog, you will see a list of some stores, apps, or individuals that are helpful for everyone’s survival during this period. This is particularly helpful for expats living in the Kingdom. So let’s get started.
Nham 24– This app is seriously helpful regardless of the country’s situation. Nham 24 continues to operate by this time and provides supermarkets for groceries during lockdown period. This app is the most reliable one on my list. Their delivery crew can take your groceries right at your doorsteps upon request. Simply add your notes for the driver in the note section before confirming your order. Don’t forget to give this wonderful staff some tips. No amount of money can equalize their service to us all. I guess. If nham24 ran out of groceries stock, I then venture the next store. This leads to tip #2.
Royal Mart – This mart has somehow everything you need to create a fully stocked kitchen. They don’t use an app and if you want to place orders, you may send them a message through Facebook messenger. Their agent works way better than an app as you can seriously express what you need and ask prices first before confirming your orders. During this lockdown, you might need to meet their delivery crew at a stop point, if it’s impossible for them to pass through barricaded roads. What makes this my favorite choice? The owner and staff are always friendly and easy to deal with. Send them a message now.
Aplus Fresh Shop– If you are looking for some fresh meat, fruits and vegetables, this shop is what you want to check out. The prices are higher than the farmers market products but way cheaper than other online supermarkets. Perfect market for families’ needs as each product is sold for atleast a kilo minimum. This shop delivers a day after you placed your order. Products are packed and handled well. They also dont’t bother to call you to confirm some changes from your cart. They do automatic adjustments with your cart, and for me that is is a great sign of their ability to take initiative. I mean, I encounter call center agents who call me in the middle of my online class confirming what products they have and what not. Those agents ask me about what they should do, and for a busy mom like me, that I find inconvenient. Aplus shop takes initiative and that is impressive. You need to order then as much knowing that there might be some items that are not available. We can’t deny the fact that these days, supplies are limited. Download their app now, start shopping and enjoy healthy choices.
Chipmong Supermarket – If buying a kilo each fresh product doesn’t work for you, Chipmong Supermarket can be your best choice. The prices are reasonable knowing that this is a supermarket. Ordering early in the morning gives you a chance for better and more options. Placing your orders through nham24 takes same day delivery, but ordering from their telegram group will take a day. Planning is badly needed during this lockdown situation so start doing your list. This grocery supermarket is also having some great deals from time to time. Check it out now.
J’adore Cafe – For some great quality bread, Jadore Cafe is a great choice. They provide bread from Joma Cafe and everything is 50% off for all their products. Some apps like nham24 provides this great promo if I am not wrong. ( I am only using nham24). Grab this offer now before it ends. Do not forget to place your order earlier time of the day. Ordering early means seeing more options to choose from and ending up with satisfied clients. I normally stocked up the house with everything we need from breakfast to dinner from this cafe, if I am too lazy to cook. Perfect for busy parents.
Rice – If you are a rice lover then you need to start contacting Kanha through her messenger. She can deliver at your door steps and her jasmine rice has an excellent quality. Other than this, she sells dried meat, kimchi and some seasonal fruits. She has been a reliable person who speaks English well, and a dear friend of mine. So far this lady has never disappointed me nor my friends who have ordered from her. She is the key to a wonder rice meals. Send her a message now.
We can’t deny the fact that everyone in the country has been facing difficulties on how to avail produce or groceries during the lockdown period.
