The rising concern about Mental Health awareness has been astounding these days. People are slowly becoming aware, and the enthusiasm to be involved is abruptly growing. The question now is, how would Journey4Us take active involvement in #WorldMentalHealthDay ?

October 10 is a relevant day. The World Health Organization mandated this day to raise awareness about Mental Health. If you don’t know yet, start setting your calendar and take note that this day connotes the celebration of ‘World Mental Health Day’. Today, let us take you along with us in exploring how our Passion and Compassion program and Journey4Us in general support #WorldMentalHealthDay.

First, what is Mental Health?

Mental Health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. Mental Health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood.

Activities You Can Join at Journey4Us

Journey4Us believes that, by building community with Passion and Compassion as the foundation, we can be an outlet for many people in improving Mental Health. Passion and Compassion not only execute charity works through providing basic needs to chosen communities, but also it provides healthy activities that people can get involved in. By joining these activities, we are confident that people will:

  • have a sense of belongingness
  • have an outlet to connect with others
  • have an opportunity to discuss issues that concern their well-being
  • be able to find support from other members
  • have a chance to realize their full potentials
  • have a chance to make meaningful contributions to the society
  • be able to practice helping others

What are these Health and Wellness activities that Passion and Compassion are having?

  • Outreach Program – It doesn’t matter where you are from around the globe. Anyone can participate in this activity by donating or by sending us an email if you want to be the beneficiaries of our project. Right now in Cambodia, we have chosen the Bong Tompun area as our primary beneficiary. This has been taking care of our Journey4Us Passion and Compassion President, Ms. Sheila.
  • Make Way for Wellness…CROCHET! – The world has changed as we can see. Our children have been busy with technology and online activities. By introducing crochet to the community, we believe that we will be able to positively influence the hobby choices of everyone, especially the youth.
