When WIFI is out
Many of us can’t wait for our vacation. One of the things we are planning to do is to have a general house cleaning up or rearranging. Be very careful of what you are planning to do. When we had our official off from work, I and Chris were so enthusiastic about rearranging our house, to give our living room a new vibe because that’s where we spent most of the times.
The kids and we too watch a lot of Netflix in there because we don’t have TV cable per see. Well, they have been watching a lot, like a lot of advertisements from their youtube watching time, we don’t think TV ads is necessary. So, #netflix, we love you! http://www.netflix.com
4 days back, we started moving our living room furniture, like cabinets, sofa and some cup boards. Along the way, we felt that our kitchen could also have a better look. So we continued rearranging. Cleaning every single bit of our house, from walls to floors, and windows to doors. Take a look at the vibe now!
What do you think? I am super happy that me and my love put our effort together, well honestly, he did more physical activity, I was more ofcourse blah blah blah! The house rearranging started like around 1pm, by exchanging big cupboards from upstairs with downstairs, sorting the kiddos stuff accordingly…ohman, I never knew they had lots of tiny eeny weeny pieces of stuff that I ended up sorting for them. I was closed to get pissed about it, but I did my mental exercise in between, and it turned out well. Hahaha.
From a dull and less vibrant living room, now we have a well-arranged and homy vibe space. A little move and little creative minds made our living room more spacious and enjoyable. I would say, my love Chris was more hands-on into it. I commend him for that personally. Thanks Love.
What transformation happened in our loft? From a less interesting space and I just want to be honest, it was purely useless for us. Recently, we got ‘new’ second hand wooden shoe racks from a Japanese expat who’s leaving Phnom Penh. Believe me guys, Cambodia is fun to live in with all these things that’s happening. Buying and selling used yet good stuff from expats living here is just fun. That’s my hobby! I check everyday, what’s up for sale, and negotiate! Chris is going crazy about it, everytime I’m on my phone, he would say, “what have you found this time?”. Getting good quality stuff in a way much cheaper price is a winner! Check the photo out, and join this group if you wish. https://www.facebook.com/groups/phnompenhbuyandsell/
These shoe racks were intended to be placed in the kids’ bedrooms, but then all of a sudden, I saw better spots for those. I suggested to my love if we can exchange our rattan shelves (very common here in Cambodia) from our kitchen with the wooden shoe racks we got, and good thing,,, he was on to it as well. So another moving of shelves from kitchen to our ‘loft’ upstairs was done! Take a look at this!
Now that those shelves were on their desired destinations, and everything else was sorted as how we want it to be, it was time for us to enjoy a Netflix movie or documentary in our homey, vibrant living room. Due to the rearranging, we also needed to rearrange the wifi wires, modem, and routers. Living in Cambodia for a long time, it is very common for us to see wires draping everywhere and anyhow.
We have rearranged modems and routers many times before, and I would say it’s just a piece of cake. Right? Take them out and put them back exactly, and that’s what we did. But, I think we have overdone our cleaning up and rearranging, that our modem decided not to give us a rewarding Netflix night!AHHHHHHHHH, and four days later after watching our spiderman, home alone, Alice in Wonderland, Heil Caesar , and Disney combo DVDs, from the kids section, we are still waiting for our WIFI now. Yes now! We are writing this blog through MS word, and will definitely upload in our site, once our lovely landlord has finally fixed the WIFI for us.
After four days, now the landlord said it’s fixed. Time for us to get this WIFI working. ’till our next adventure.
